Always a pleasure to hear how someone's musical obsessions manifest, especially when they coincide with one's own.<br /><br />I jumped on the Gorky's wagon around the release of 'Bwyd Time' after reading an NME review of 'Miss Trudy'. Being a big fan of Syd Barrett at the time, anything that looked or sounded even vaguely like it was created using a truckful of psychedelic drugs intrigued me. As soon as I heard it, I was hooked, and followed them until the end, seeing them live numerous times. I always prefered the earlier pastoral psychedelia of Tatay, Bwyd Time and Barafundle, but they continued to produce great music right up until the end.
